Fig Tree
A Welsh perry pear from Usk.
Round conical fruit with yellow green with red flush and some russet. Flesh is rich and juicy, low in sugar.
Found in an old orchard in Llantrisant, Usk, shown on an 1780 map of the area. It's name refers to the pear's remembrance to a fig.
Pleasant, floral aroma, best in a blend. Used by Jessica Deathe of Three Saints.
